Academy for Women

Henry IV

The Brussels Shakespeare Society presents an abridged version of the two parts of this historical play, focusing on the largely criminal activities of Henry’s son, Hal, and Falstaff’s gang of “lowlifes”. Tickets €16. More info at theatreinbrussels.com.

Lambermontmartre

Last Sunday of the month, from May to September, 12:00 to 17:00. Fourteenth edition of this lively and popular painters’ market on the Leopold De Waelplaats. Hundreds of participants, musical performances and a cosy bar.

Beer Passion Weekend

Groenplaats, Antwerp, 23-25 June.

Sample more than 200 Belgian beers at the 18th edition of this festival. Live music. Entrance free. More info at bierpassieweekend.be.

Ommegang Pageant and Mediaeval Village

Brussels, 5-8 July

For 4 days, the centre of Brussels steps back 500 years. Mediaeval activities and market on the Place du Grand Sablon and Parc Royal. Plus the traditional show on 5 and 7 July on the Grand Place at 8.45 pm. More info at www.ommegang.be.
