English-Speaking Groups

These groups have been selected because they are suitable for English-speakers. They are based in the Antwerp area.

Antwerp Cricket Club

ADFAS

Antwerp Decorative and Fine Arts Society. The affiliation with the Decorative and Fine Arts Society in the UK has been broken as the group could no longer be self-financing. However, the group continues as a volunteer group helping with numerous restoration projects in the Antwerp area. You can find out more on their website.

ABCA

Antwerp British Community Association.

Monthly meetings and lunch parties.

APC

Antwerp Parents & Child. Previously known as MOMS.  An international group of English-speaking parents, mostly mothers, promoting parent/child activities. Regular meetings both informal and formal.

Australia Society Based in Brussels. They have in the past held events in Antwerp.
AWCA American Women's Club Antwerp

Membership is open to U.S. citizens and those with some other connection to the United States. A very active group with many activities.

BATS British and American Theatrical Society. Weekly meetings and a monthly open evening.

International Women’s Register

The IWR currently has about 15 members of different nationalities. They meet on the third Thursday evening of the month, sometimes in a member’s home, sometimes at an outing. Members take it in turns to organize a meeting, which means once a year at the most. It might be a visit to the cinema, a discussion at home, a meal out, a bring-a-dish supper, a day at the sea, BBQ – anything goes. 

The IWR would also welcome new recruits. You can find out more about them via this club. (They do not have their own web site or email address.) Use the form to contact us and we will pass on your enquiry.

IWCA International Women's Contact Antwerp

An English-speaking group of international women, many of whom are Dutch.

National Trust in Belgium

They organise one event almost every month such as castles and gardens visits, lectures on the activities of The National Trust and even concerts.

Every year they organise a trip to England to visit "behind the scenes" properties of the Trust and to attend events.

They make a donation to The National Trust.

Rugby Club Antwerpen
STUDS A group of English-speaking males, many trailing spouses. Based in Brussels.
