We eventually all arrived at the restaurant in castle Ehrenbreitstein but only after discussions with foreign taxi drivers about the location, the restaurant having a different name from the one expected and having to pay extra because it was inside the castle! That having been sorted, the evening started very pleasantly outside with a Kir aperitif whilst admiring the view and the sinking sun. |

| There was some discussion about the menu we had ordered, but it wasn't the fault of the restaurant. After that, things soon livened up when they brought on the wine, a different one for each course. | |

The dessert arrived in spectacular style.

| But, there's always one in
every party. Just don't know when to stop. And we needed a cup of coffee after all that! |

| On leaving, we had a wonderful night-time
view of Koblenz and the surrounding area.
We even had in-house entertainment on the way home. |
